REGISTRATION OF RESIDENCE
When you register in a hotel, hostel, camp or apartment in Croatia, you will be automatically registered with the police, in accordance with the applicable law. However, if you are staying with a friend or in private accommodation, please register yourself. Within 24 hours of your arrival, you should register in person at the nearest police station and be sure to bring your passport with you. This procedure is legally required and important for your safety, and helps you deal with any unforeseen situations during your vacation in Croatia.
During the application, you will kindly be asked to fill out some forms and attach certain information. This procedure, although it may be unpleasant, aims to ensure your safety and provide you with assistance in case of need during your stay in Croatia.
